Sensex slips into red; breadth +ve

The Sensex has slipped into the negative zone and is now down three points at 15,419.

Cipla has soared nearly 3% to Rs 177.

TCS, Grasim and Infosys are up around 1% each at Rs 1,072, Rs 2,970 and Rs 1,879, respectively.

NTPC and Hindalco have dropped nearly 2% each to Rs 182 and Rs 158, respectively.

ITC and Tata Motors have shed 1.6% each to Rs 171 and Rs 692, respectively.

BHEL and Bharti Airtel are down 1% each at Rs 1,922 and Rs 864, respectively.

The market breadth is fairly positive - out of 2,500 stocks traded so far, 1,471 have advanced, 949 have declined and 80 are unchanged.
