Sensex slips into red, down 20pts

The Sensex has slipped into the negative zone and is now down 20 points points 12,344.

Infosys has surged over 4% to Rs 1,984. TCS has rallied 3.3% to Rs 1,045. Satyam and Wipro are up over 2% each at Rs 416 and Rs 531, respectively.

HDFC Bank has advanced nearly 2% to Rs 956. HDFC has moved up 1.7% to 1,439.

Tata Motors has tumbled over 3% to Rs 882. Gujarat Ambuja has shed 2.8% to Rs 120.

Hindalco has slipped 2.3% to Rs 172. Ranbaxy has dropped 2% to Rs 415.

Larsen & Toubro, HLL, Maruti and SBI are down over 1.5% each at Rs 1,259, Rs 235, Rs 937 and Rs 1,011, respectively.

Out of 2,525 stocks traded so far, 1,584 have declined, 875 have advanced and 66 are unchanged.
