Sensex slips into red, down 28pts

The Sensex has slipped into the negative zone and is now down 28 points at 13,161.

Tata Steel and Hindalco have surged over 3% each to Rs 512 and Rs 141, respectively.

BHEL and Bharti Airtel have gained 1.4% each at Rs 2,498 and Rs 774, respectively.

Cipla and Reliance Energy are up around 1% each at Rs 236 and Rs 515, respectively.

Dr.Reddy's has tumbled 3% to Rs 698, and Ranbaxy has slipped over 2% to Rs 350.

ACC, HLL and HDFC have shed around 1.7% each to Rs 734, Rs 205 and Rs 1,582, respectively.

Gujarat Ambuja and HDFC Bank are down over 1% each to Rs 108 and Rs 980, respectively.

Out of 2,602 stocks traded so far, 1,545 have advanced, 984 have declined and 73 are unchanged.
