Sensex slips into red, down 45pts

The Sensex has slipped into the negative zone and is now down 45 points at 13,827.

ONGC has surged 3.3% to Rs 904. ICICI Bank has rallied 2.6% to Rs 914.

HDFC has advanced nearly 2% to Rs 1,610. Grasim, HLL and Reliance are up over 1% each at Rs 2,830, Rs 213 and Rs 1,295, respectively.

Reliance Communications and Maruti have dropped nearly 3% each to Rs 452 and Rs 171, respectively. Hindalco has declined over 2% to Rs 171.

Dr.Reddy's has tumbled nearly 2% to Rs 811. ITC and Gujarat Ambuja are down around 1.5% each to Rs 166 and Rs 141, respectively.

Tata Steel, Tata Motors and Reliance Energy have declined over 1% each to Rs 560, Rs 938 and Rs 525, respectively.

Out of 2,637 stocks traded so far, 1,723 have advanced, 860 have declined and 54 are unchanged.
