The Sensex after opening at 14,893, slipped into the red to a low of 14,790. The index is now down 50 points at 14,791.
Reliance Infrastructure has shed 3% at Rs 1,260. Ranbaxy has slipped 2.5% to Rs 267.
Reliance Communications, Jaiprakash Associates, DLF, NTPC, SBI, HDFC Bank and Bharti AIrtel have declined 1-2% each.
Mahindra & Mahindra has added 2% to Rs 723. Sterlite, HDFC and Tata Power have advanced 1.5% each. Tata Steel is up 1% at Rs 442.
