Sensex slips into red, down 52pts

The Sensex has slipped into the negative zone and is now down 52 points at 19,646.

ACC has zoomed 4.8% to Rs 1,089, and Cipla has soared 4.3% to Rs 188.

Bajaj Auto has rallied 3.5% to Rs 2,431, and Mahindra & Mahindra has surged 2.3% to Rs 750.

Tata Steel has gained 2% at Rs 860. ONGC, DLF, Hindustan Unilever and Tata Motors have moved up 1.7% each to Rs 1,287, Rs 953, Rs 205 and Rs 710, respectively.

ITC has plunged over 3% to Rs 199. ICICI Bank has slipped 2% to Rs 1,196, and HDFC Bank has dropped 1.7% to Rs 1,659.

Out of 2,840 stocks traded so far, 2,237 have advanced, 578 have declined and 25 are unchanged.
