Sensex slips into red, down 60pts; breadth -ve

The Sensex has slipped into the negative zone is now down 60 at 19,778.

Bharti Airtel and Hindustan Unilever have plunged around 4% each to Rs 964 and Rs 199, respectively.

ITC has shed 2.7% to Rs 174. ACC has dropped 1.6% to Rs 1,060.

Reliance Energy and Cipla have slipped 1.3% each to Rs 1,841 and Rs 176, respectively.

Reliance, Tata Motors and Ambuja Cements are down 1% each to Rs 2,750, Rs 749 and Rs 143, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro has zoomed nearly 6% to Rs 4,492. HDFC Bank has soared 3.5% to Rs 1,710.

ONGC has surged 2.7% to Rs 1,281. BHEL has gained 2.4% at Rs 2,675.

ICICI Bank and Infosys have rallied 1.8% each to Rs 1,280 and Rs 1,872, respectively.

SBI, Ranbaxy and Hindalco are the other prominent gainers.

The market breadth has turned negative - out of 2,617 stocks traded so far, 1,468 have declined, 1,087 have advanced and 62 are unchanged.
