Sensex slips into red, down 74pts

The Sensex has slipped into red and is now down 74 points at 19,517.

Upated at 1408 hrs

The Sensex is now up 78 points at 19,669.

Hindalco has zoomed 6.7% to Rs 196. BHEL has soared 3.6% to Rs 2,760.

Reliance Energy has gained 3.5% at Rs 1,884. NTPC, Bajaj Auto and Dr.Reddy's have advanced over 2.5% each to Rs 243, Rs 2,456 and Rs 617, respectively.

ACC has moved up 1.7% to Rs 1,025, and Reliance has added 1.5% to Rs 2,706.

ONGC and Cipla are up 1.3% each at Rs 1,317 and Rs 179, respectively.

Bharti Airtel has plunged 3% to Rs 914. Satyam has dropped 1.7% to Rs 456.

ICICI Bank and Tata Motors have slipped around 1.5% each to Rs 1,252 and Rs 730, respectively. Grasim is down 1% at Rs 3,670.

Out of 2,741 stocks traded so far, 1,448 have advanced, 1,213 have declined and 80 are unchanged.
