Sensex slips into red; HDFC, ONGC weak

The Sensex has slipped into the negative zone and is now down eight points at 13,934.

Bajaj Auto has rallied 2.6% to Rs 2,810. Ranbaxy has surged 2.2% to Rs 407.

Reliance Energy and Tata Motors have gained 1.4% each at Rs 531 and Rs 943, respectively.

NTPC has spurted 1.2% to Rs 140. Infosys and Gujarat Ambuja are the other prominent gainers.

Reliance Communications, HDFC and ONGC are down 1% each to Rs 466, Rs 1,605 and Rs 868, respectively.

Out of 2,308 stocks traded so far 1,465 have advanced, 776 have declined and 67 are unchanged.
