Sensex slips into red; Hindalco drops 2%

The Sensex has slipped into the negative zone and is now down five points at 15,460.

NTPC has soared 2.5% to Rs 186.

Cipla has surged 2% to Rs 183. Maruti has slipped 1.5% to Rs 880.

Reliance Energy, Wipro and Satyam are up 1% each at Rs 831, Rs 470 and Rs 454, respectively.

Hindalco has dropped 2% to Rs 154.

Maruti and Ranbaxy have shed 1.7% each to Rs 878 and Rs 400, respectively.

Bharti Aritel has slipped 1.5% to Rs 846.
