Sensex slumps 116pts; ONGC drops 6%

The Sensex has crashed heavily. The index is now down 116 points at 11,822.

ONGC has slumped 5.7% to Rs 1,307.

Infosys has plunged 2.8% to Rs 3,138. Wipro has slipped over 2% to Rs 537.

ACC has shed 2.8% to Rs 941. Tata Power and Tata Steel are also down over 1% each.

Maruti has declined 2% to Rs 904. Tata Motors and Hero Honda have shed 1.5% each.

Bharti Tele has slipped 2% to Rs 404.

Reliance has gained 2% at Rs 998, and Hindalco has moved up 1.6% to Rs 218.

Larsen & Toubro and TCS are up over 1% each at Rs 2,695 and Rs 1,964, respectively.

Out of 2,561 stocks traded so far, 1,404 have advanced, 1,097 have declined and 60 are unchanged.
