Sensex slumps 450pts; Reliance, HLL down 7%

The Sensex is now down 450 points at 9307.

Reliance Energy, Tata Power and HDFC Bank have dropped around 7.5% each to Rs 373, Rs 428 and Rs 667, respectively.

Reliance and HLL have shed 7% each to Rs 830 and Rs 205, respectively.

Bajaj Auto, Tata Steel and Bharti Airtel have slipped over 6% each to Rs 2,372, Rs 432 and Rs 332, respectively.

Dr.Reddy's and Ranbaxy are down nearly 6% each at Rs 1,192 and Rs 344, respectively.

Out of a total of 2,385 stocks traded so far, 2,199 have declined, 159 have advanced and 27 are unchanged.
