Sensex snaps gains, down 9 pts

The market has eased in early noon trades following selling pressure in heavyweights, tech and other select old economy stocks. The Sensex is now down nine points at 6,559. The Nifty is up a point at 2,071.

Reliance is trading off-gains with a loss of Rs 2 at Rs 529. While ITC is down Rs 10 at Rs 1,310, HLL is marginally down at Rs 144.

Infosys is down a rupee at Rs 2,074. While Satyam is down a per cent (Rs 3) at Rs 412, Wipro is trading lower by Rs 4 at Rs 748.

Hero Honda (down Rs 2 to Rs 557) has slipped from the higher levels, and Tata Motors is down a per cent (Rs 5) at Rs 504. Bajaj is up a tad at Rs 1,125.

L&T has lost 1.45% (Rs 14) to Rs 972.

ONGC is up a per cent (Rs 6) at Rs 819. Hindalco is trading firm with a sharp gain of 2.20% (Rs 31) at Rs 1,445. Bharti at Rs 217 (up Rs 4 or 1.95%) is holding on to its gains.
