Sensex soars 102pts; ICICI Bank, HLL lead

The Sensex is now up 102 points at 10,915.

ICICI Bank has rallied nearly 4% to Rs 590. SBI has added 1% to Rs 819.

HLL has surged 1.7% to Rs 223. Bharti Airtel and Tata Motors are up around 1.5% each at Rs 398 and Rs 760, respectively.

ACC, Tata Steel, ONGC and Grasim have gained 1% each at Rs 861, Rs 509, Rs 1,173 and Rs 2,135, respectively.

The market breadth is extremely positive - out of 1,681 stocks traded so far, 1,189 have advanced, 445 have declined and 47 are unchanged.
