Sensex soars 128pts; HDFC Bank down 1.5%

The Sensex soared to a high of 9386, and is now up 128 points at 9365.

Wipro continues to leads the upmove with a gain of 4% at Rs 480. While Satyam has spurted 2.2% to Rs 738, Infosys and TCS are up 2% each at Rs 2,793 and Rs 1,642, respectively.

Reliance has gained 1.3% at Rs 703. ONGC is up 1% at Rs 1,205.

Reliance Energy has rallied nearly 3% to Rs 617. NTPC has moved up 2.3% to Rs 113, and Tata Power also trades in the positive zone at Rs 451.

ITC has added 1.6% to Rs 143. HLL has moved up 0.6% to Rs 186.

Bharti Tele has surged 2.8% to Rs 339.

BHEL has added 3% to Rs 1,509, and Larsen & Toubro is up 1% at Rs 1,863.

Hindalco has rallied over 3% to Rs 157. Tata Steel has jumped 2% to Rs 358.

HDFC has advanced nearly 2% to Rs 1,171. SBI has moved up 1.2% to Rs 904. While ICICI Bank has gained 1.5% at Rs 568, HDFC Bank has shed 1.5% at Rs 725.

ACC has spurted 1.4% to Rs 547, and Grasim is up 1% at Rs 1,429. Gujarat Ambuja, too, trades in the green at Rs 91.

Hero Honda has rallied 2% to Rs 848. Tata Motors has jumped 1.8% to Rs 628, and Maruti is up 1.4% at Rs 654. Bajaj Auto has added nearly 1% to Rs 2,033.

Cipla has gained 1% at Rs 438. While Ranbaxy has slipped 0.5% to Rs 382, Dr.Reddy's is trading almost flat at Rs 1,031.

Out of 2,471 stocks traded so far, 1,896 have advanced, 521 have declined and the rest are unmoved.
