Sensex soars 183pts; Infosys surges 4%

The Sensex is now up 183 points at 13,121.

Wipro and Satyam have soared around 6% each to Rs 594 and Rs 437, respectively. TCS has zoomed 4.5% to Rs 1,254, and Infosys has surged 3.7% to Rs 2,156.

HDFC Bank and Reliance Communications have rallied nearly 4.5% each to Rs 975 and Rs 425, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro has moved up 3.75 to Rs 1,540, and ICICI Bank has advanced 3% to Rs 857. Tata Steel has gained 2% at Rs 451.

Gujarat Ambuja has plunged 6% to Rs 109. ACC has crumbled 5% to Rs 855, and Grasim has tumbled over 4% to Rs 2,120.

Bajaj Auto has crashed 4% to Rs 2,510. Dr.Reddy's has slipped 2.6% to Rs 660.

Hindalco and Hero Honda are down over 2% each to Rs 137 and Rs 661, respectively.

Out of 2,543 stocks traded so far, 1,514 have declined, 956 have advanced and 73 are unchanged.
