Sensex soars 193pts; ICICI zooms 5%

The Sensex is now up 193 points at 12,899.

ICICI Bank has soared 4.8% to Rs 863, and Reliance Energy has surged 3.6% to Rs 493.

ITC has rallied 3% to Rs 145. BHEL and Satyam have gained 2.7% each at Rs 2,100 and Rs 458, respectively.

HLL, SBI, ONGC and Hero Honda have gained around 2.5% each at Rs 188, Rs 976, Rs 809 and Rs 650, respectively.

Gujarat Ambuja has plunged over 4% to Rs 106. Grasim has dropped 2% to Rs 2,080.

Ranbaxy has slipped 1.4% to Rs 332, and Dr.Reddy's is down 1% at Rs 673.

Out of 2,558 stocks traded so far, 1,371 have declined, 1,093 have advanced and 94 are unchanged.
