Sensex soars 194pts; HDFC surges 4%

The Sensex is now up 194 points at 13,375.

HDFC has surged 4% to Rs 1,560. NTPC, Grasim and ONGC have gained around 3% each to Rs 144, Rs 2,688 and Rs 811, respectively.

ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel, Reliance Communications, Hindalco and ACC have advanced over 2% each to Rs 850, Rs 613, Rs 443, Rs 172 and Rs 1,028, respectively.

Infosys, Satyam, Gujarat Ambuja, Maruti, Dr.Reddy's and Reliance Energy are up 1-2% each.

Out of 2,143 stocks traded so far, 1,723 have moved up, 375 have slipped and the rest are unchanged.
