Sensex soars 199pts; HDFC down 1.5%

The Sensex is now up 199 points at 13,630.

Bharti Airtel, ITC, Reliance Energy, Satyam and TCS have rallied around 3% each to Rs 624, Rs 184, Rs 532, Rs 454 and Rs 1,147, respectively.

Gujarat Ambuja has surged 2.5% to Rs 137. Wipro, ACC, Tata Steel and Hindalco have advanced around 2% each to Rs 567, Rs 1,079, Rs 473 and Rs 175, respectively.

HDFC has slipped 1.5% to Rs 1,642.

Out of 2,555 stocks traded so far, 1,800 have advanced, 679 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
