Sensex soars 294pts; HLL, ONGC surge 4%

The Sensex is now up 294 points at 13,240.

BHEL has soared over 5% to Rs 2,215. HLL, Maruti and ONGC have rallied 4% each to Rs 199, Rs 823 and Rs 844, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro and HDFC Bank have surged over 3.5% each to Rs 1,555 and Rs 1,001, respectively.

SBI has advanced nearly 3% to Rs 1,010. Hero Honda, ITC and TCS have added 2.7% each to Rs 668, Rs 148 and Rs 1,300, respectively.

Out of 2,333 stocks traded so far, 1,668 have advanced, 603 have declined and 62 are unchanged.
