Sensex soars 296pts; breadth firm

The Sensex is now up 296 points at 13,680.

Tata Steel has soared over 4% to Rs 532. ACC and Reliance Communications have surged 3.8% each to Rs 776 and Rs 437, respectively.

Gujarat Ambuja and ITC have rallied around 3.5% each to Rs 112 and Rs 159, respectively.

Grasim, Wipro, ONGC and Reliance have advanced around 3% each to Rs 2,358, Rs 585, Rs 897 and Rs 1,451, respectively.

HLL has moved up nearly 3% to Rs 213. Larsen & Toubro has added 2.5% to Rs 1,653.

Satyam has slipped nearly 1% to Rs 477.

Out of 2,595 stocks traded so far, 1,794 have advanced, 735 have declined and 66 are unchanged.
