Sensex soars 566pts; L&T zooms 8%

The Sensex touched a high of 18,266, and is now up 566 points at 18,180.

All index stocks are in the positive zone.

Larsen & Toubro has zoomed 7.8% to Rs 3,338, and Bharti Airtel has soared 6.7% to Rs 990.

BHEL has surged 6.4% to Rs 2,188. Hindalco has gained 5.4% at Rs 188.

NTPC and Reliance Energy have rallied 5% each to Rs 210 and Rs 1,439, respectively.

Reliance has moved up 4.6% to Rs 2,524. Reliance Communications and Hindustan Unilver have added 3.5% each to Rs 746 and Rs 214, respectively.
