Sensex soars 91pts; RCoVL lists at Rs 290

The Sensex opened 22 points higher at 10,617. Fresh buying in opening deals led the index rally to a high of 10,687. The index is now up 91 points at 10,686.

ITC has surged 1.7% to Rs 177. Tata Motors, Tata Steel and Larsen & Toubro have spurted 1.5% each to Rs 918, Rs 461 and Rs 2,445, respectively.

Reliance Energy, Bharti Tele, NTPC, HDFC, Hero Honda and Bajaj Auto have jumped over 1% each.

Reliance Communications Ventures (RCoVL) listed at Rs 290. The stock touched a high of Rs 309, and is now trading at Rs 300.
