The Sensex is now up 745 points at 12,149.
Sterlite has surged over 16% to Rs 475.
Mahindra & Mahindra has gained over 14% to Rs 552. HDFC has increased around 11.5% to Rs 1,929.
Hindalco has added around 10% to Rs 59.15. ITC and Tata Steel have moved around 9.5% each to Rs 207 and Rs 260, respectively.
Metal, IT and Banking stocks continue to lead the rally so far. The market breadth is still extremely positive-out of 2,597 shares traded, 1,763 have advanced and 760 have declined so far.
