Sensex soars to 9654, up 115pts; Satyam zooms 3.7%

The Sensex has scaled to a new all-time intra-day high of 9657, and is now up 115 points at 9654.

Reliance is up 1.6% at (Rs 14) at Rs 934.

Satyam has surged 3.7% to Rs 770. Wipro has gained 1.7% at Rs 481. Infosys is up 1.3% at Rs 3,051.

Gujarat Ambuja has rallied 3% to Rs 83.50.

ITC and NTPC are up 2.6% each at Rs 147 and Rs 115, respectively.

HDFC Bank has advanced 2.2% to Rs 729. ICICI Bank is up 1.6% at Rs 619. SBI is up 1% at Rs 920.

Dr.Reddy's has moved up 1.7% to Rs 1,012.

Tata Motors has rallied 2% to Rs 658, and Bajaj Auto is up 1.4% at Rs 2,044.

BHEL at Rs 1,429 and Larsen & Toubro at Rs 1,852 have gained over 1% each.

ONGC down 1.8% at Rs 1,188 and Maruti down 1% at Rs 659 are the only notable losers.

Advances continue to remain ahead of declines - out of 2,579 stocks traded on the BSE, so far, 1,461 have moved up, 1,078 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
