Sensex soars to a new peak in opening deals

The Sensex has soared to a new all-time intra-day high of 10,665, and is now up 92 points at 10,657.

Maruti has zoomed 3.4% to Rs 915. Bharti has rallied nearly 3% to Rs 388.

Tata Steel has gained almost 2% at Rs 451. ACC, Wipro, Larsen & Toubro, Hero Honda, Reliance Energy, Ranbaxy and Gujarat Ambuja are the other notable gainers among the Sensex stocks.
