Sensex stands firm, up 70pts

The Sensex is now up 70 points at 10,679.

HLL has surged nearly 4% to Rs 238. TCS and Infosys have gained over 2% each to Rs 1,775 and Rs 3,140, respectively.

ITC has advanced 1.8% to Rs 186. Reliance Communications and ONGC are up around 1.5% each at Rs 252 and Rs 1,124, respectively.

HDFC Bank has dropped 2.5% to Rs 772. Wipro has slipped 2% to Rs 503.

Grasim and Tata Motors are down around 1.5% each at Rs 1,903 and Rs 784, respectively.

Out of 2,351 stocks traded so far, 1,147 have advanced, 1,128 have declined and 76 are unchanged.
