The Sensex is now up 58 points at 10,333. Earlier in the day, the index opened 18 points lower at 10,258 on mixed global cues. The index, thereafter, slipped to a low of 10,230, before rebounding into the positive territory.
Grasim and Satyam has surged 5% each to Rs 1,294 and Rs 175, respectively. Mahindra & Mahindra has rallied 4.5% to Rs 310.
Sterlite has moved up 3.8% to Rs 313, and ACC has gained 3.5% at Rs 524.
ICICI Bank, Tata Motors and HDFC have advanced around 3% each to Rs 516, Rs 185 and Rs 1,676, respectively.
HDFC Bank and BHEL are up over 2% each at Rs 1,066 and Rs 1,466, respectively.
Reliance Communications and Bharti Airtel have plunged around 2.5% each to Rs 257 and Rs 668, respectively.

DLF and NTPC have shed 2% each at Rs 290 and Rs 178, respectively.
Reliance Infrastructure, Infosys and Tata Power have dropped nearly 2% each to Rs 653, Rs 1,154 and Rs 816, respectively.
TCS and Larsen & Toubro are down around 1.5% each at Rs 507 and Rs 843, respectively.
The market breadth is fairly positive - out of 2,246 stocks traded so far, 1,305 have advanced, 853 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
