The Sensex is more or less steady around the day's higher levels at 9,242 - up 195 points. The index had opened with a positive gap of 79 points this morning.
Reliance Communications (RCom) has soared 6% to Rs 185. NTPC and Reliance Infrastructure have surged over 5% each to Rs 176 and Rs 529, respectively.
Jaiprakash Associates and Reliance have rallied over 4% each to Rs 67 and Rs 1,191, respectively.
Sterlite has gained 3.7% at Rs 263. Bharti Airtel and Larsen & Toubro have advanced over 3% each to Rs 623 and Rs 727, respectively.
Tata Power has moved up 2.7% to Rs 757. Ranbaxy, BHEL and Hindalco have added around 2.5% each to Rs 221, Rs 1,387 and Rs 49, respectively.
ICICI Bank, ONGC and Mahindra & Mahindra are up 2.3% each at Rs 418, Rs 639 and Rs 326, respectively.
