Sensex steady, up 134pts; M&M gains 3%

The Sensex continues to remain steady and is now up 134 points at 20,341.

Bharti Airtel has zoomed 5.7% to Rs 994. Mahindra & Mahindra has soared 2.7% to Rs 857.

ITC, DLF and Hindalco have surged over 2% each to Rs 210, Rs 1,087 and Rs 218, respectively.

Reliance Communications, ACC and Ranbaxy have also rallied over 2% each to Rs 748, Rs 1,030 and Rs 424, respectively.

ONGC, TCS and Tata Motors have advanced around 1.5% each to Rs 1,244, Rs 1,095 and Rs 741, respectively.

Ambuja Cements and Wipro have slipped over 1% each to Rs 147 and Rs 524, respectively.

Out of 2,896 stocks traded so far, 2,607 have advanced, 274 have declined and 15 are unchanged.
