After displaying volatility in early trades, the Sensex soon rebounded into the green following steady buying support in select old and new economy stocks. The Sensex, however, is now moving in a narrow range and is now up 19 points at 6,378. The Nifty, too, is steady at 1,969 - up six points. Reliance has gained 1.35% (Rs 7) to Rs 548, while ITC has clocked a per cent gain (Rs 13) to Rs 1,429. HLL, however, is down a rupee at Rs 134. ICICI Bank has flared up 2.32% (Rs 9) to Rs 386. While HDFC Bank has slipped a per cent (Rs 4) to Rs 543, SBI is down Rs 2 at Rs 614. Infosys has moved up a per cent (Rs 14) to Rs 2,011. Wipro and Satyam are trading on a flat note at Rs 638 and Rs 414, respectively. While Zee has soared 3.63% (Rs 5) to Rs 147, Hindalco has jumped nearly 2% (Rs 24) to Rs 1,225. Grasim, Gujarat Ambuja and ACC are up a per cent each at Rs 1,149 (up Rs 9), Rs 429 (up Rs 3) and Rs 374 (up Rs 3), respectively. Ranbaxy has dropped 2.36% (Rs 23) to Rs 961. While Dr. Reddy's has lost 1.45% (Rs 10) to Rs 662, Cipla is down a tad at Rs 266. L&T has slumped 2.47% (Rs 26) to Rs 1,009, and HDFC has declined 1.31% (Rs 10) to Rs 739. |
