Sensex steady, up 33 pts

The market continues move in a range-bound mode as most of the stocks in the gainers list are largely unchanged from their earlier levels.

The Sensex is now up 33 points at 6,228, while the Nifty is steady at 1,923 - up six points.

Reliance has gained 1.47% (Rs 8) to Rs 542. While ITC is up a per cent (Rs 8) at Rs 1,416, ONGC is marginally up at Rs 827. HLL is still down a tad at Rs 133.

SBI has advanced 1.82% (Rs 10) to Rs 600, while ICICI Bank is unchanged with 1.24% gains (Rs 4) at Rs 366.

BHEL has scaled up 3% (Rs 24) to Rs 817. Bharti (up Rs 4 or 2% to Rs 211), HDFC (up Rs 10 or 1.42% to Rs 746) and Hindalco (up Rs 14 or 1.14% to Rs 1,224) are trading with steady gains.

ACC is trading 1.63% higher (Rs 6) at Rs 371. Other cement majors are largely divergent.

Maruti has gained 1.51% (Rs 6) to Rs 409, and Tata Motors is up a per cent (Rs 4) at Rs 425. Bajaj (down Rs 3 to Rs 1,100), however, has slipped into the red after recent gains.

Infosys is subdued with a per cent loss (Rs 10) at Rsw 1,905. While Wipro has slipped 1.16% (Rs 7) to Rs 629, Satyam is down a rupee at Rs 408.
