Sensex steady, up 54pts

The Sensex is now up 54 points at 14,485.

ACC has zoomed over 8% to Rs 898. Ambuja Cements has soared 6.4% to Rs 124, and Grasim has surged 4.5% to Rs 2,615.

HDFC has rallied 4% to Rs 1,938. Ranbaxy has gained 1.5% at Rs 348.

Hindalco has plunged over 2% to Rs 166. Bajaj Auto has shed 1.6% to Rs 2,096.

Maruti has dropped 1.4% to Rs 741, and Hindustan Unilever has slipped over 1% to Rs 189.

Out of 2,621 stocks traded so far, 1,529 have advanced, 1,016 have declined and 76 are unchanged.
