Sensex steady, up 95pts

The Sensex is steady at the higher levels and is now up 95 points at 11,606.

Reliance Communications has surged over 3% to Rs 299. Hindalco has added 2.6% to Rs 166.

Bharti Airtel has advanced nearly 2% to Rs 417. Tata Steel, Hero Honda, ICICI Bank, Maruti and ONGC have gained over 1.5% each at Rs 517, Rs 708, Rs 604, Rs 854 and Rs 1,208, respectively.

ITC, Wipro, Reliance, Larsen & Toubro and HDFC Bank are up around 1% each.

Out of 2,452 stocks traded so far, 1,488 have advanced, 879 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
