Sensex still in red; SBI rallies 3%

The NSE Nifty is up six points at 4,055.

Ranbaxy has slumped over 8% to Rs 488.

Infosys has tumbled 5% to Rs 1,594, and Satyam has plunged over 4% to Rs 426. TCS has dropped 2.3% to Rs 781, and Wipro has shed nearly 2% at Rs 405.

HDFC Bank has dropped 4% to Rs 1,025. HDFC has slipped 3% to Rs 1,940.

BHEL has declined 2.3% to Rs 1,495, and Hindalco is down 1.4% at Rs 153.

ONGC has surged 4.3% to Rs 886. Tata Motors has rallied 3.5% to Rs 414.

SBI and Tata Steel have gained 3% each at Rs 1,259 and Rs 686, respectively.

 

NTPC and Larsen & Toubro have moved up 2% each to Rs 165 and Rs 2,407, respectively.

Cipla, Hindustan Unilever and Ambuja Cements are up around 1.5% each at Rs 215, Rs 218 and Rs 82, respectively.

Out of 2,219 stocks traded so far, 1,255 have declined, 906 have advanced and 58 are unchanged.
