Sensex still in red; TCS slips 3%

The Sensex tried to recover but failed and is now 101 points down at 14,856.

DLF has gained 2% at Rs 360.

Jaiprakash Associates, Reliance Infrastructure and Reliance have added over 1.5% each to Rs 223, Rs 1,268 and Rs 2,142, respectively.

Reliance Communications and Bharti Airtel are up 1% each.

TCS has dropped 3% to Rs 379. ONGC, Wipro and Larsen & Toubro have slipped over 2% each to Rs 1,095, Rs 388 and Rs 1,496, respectively.

HDFC, Mahindra & Mahindra and SBI have declined over 1.5% each to Rs 2,266, Rs 761 and Rs 1,684, respectively.

BHEL, Tata Steel, ITC, Maruti, NTPC and Tata Motors are down over 1% each.

 

The market breadth is positive-out of 2,146 shares traded, 1,204 have advanced and 875 have declined so far on the BSE.
