Sensex subdued, down 6 pts

The market sentiment remains subdued, with select heavyweights and auto scrips continue to trade with steady losses.

The Sensex, as a result, is now down six points at 6,522, while the Nifty is weak at 2,008 - down five points.

ONGC has edged lower by 1.52% (Rs 13) to Rs 877. ITC (down Rs 5 to Rs 1,483) and Reliance (down Rs 3 to Rs 537) are displaying a subdued trend.

Bajaj continues to trade lower and is down 1.56% (Rs 19) at Rs 1,173, and Maruti is down 1.17% (Rs 5) at Rs 448. Hero Honda (up Rs 2 to Rs 554) is trading with steady gains.

HPCL has inched lower by Rs 2 to Rs 328. Bharti is down a per cent (Rs 2) at Rs 220.

Infosys is unchanged with a per cent gain (Rs 19) at Rs 2,096. While Satyam has moved up 1.42% (Rs 6) to Rs 436, Wipro is trading a per cent higher (Rs 4) at Rs 664.

SBI is up Rs 3 at Rs 636. HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank are up a notch each at Rs 539 and Rs 398, respectively.

Gujarat Ambuja has inched up by a per cent (Rs 6) to Rs 448, while Grasim is marginally up at Rs 1,137.
