Sensex surges 196pts; Hero Honda down 3%

The Sensex is now up 196 points 14,125.

SBI has soared over 4% to Rs 1,279. ICICI Bank has advanced nearly 3% to Rs 912, and HDFC Bank has added 2.5% to Rs 1,035.

Reliance Communications and Hindalco have rallied over 3% each to Rs 491 and Rs 150, respectively.

Tata Motors has surged 2.7% to Rs 734. BHEL has gained 2.5% at Rs 2,584.

HLL has moved up 2% to Rs 197. Reliance and Larsen & Toubro are up 1.7% each at Rs 1,625 and Rs 1,702, respectively.

Hero Honda has dropped 2.7% to Rs 679. Infosys and TCS are down 1% each at Rs 1,951 and Rs 1,224, respectively.

Out of 2,661 stocks traded so far, 1,587 have advanced, 996 have declined and 78 are unchanged.
