Sensex surges 205pts, Grasim zooms 9%

The Sensex rallied to a high of 10,784 - up 573 points from the day's low of 10,185.

The index is now up 205 points at 10,687.

Grasim has zoomed over 9% to Rs 1,920. Tata Power and Wipro have soared 8% each to Rs 551 and Rs 474, respectively.

Tata Steel and Guajrat Ambuja have gained over 6% each at Rs 503 and Rs 97, respectively.

Out of 2,386 stocks traded so far, 1,190 have declined, 1,154 have advanced and 42 are unchanged.
