Sensex surges 222pts; all index stocks gain

The Sensex is now up 222 points at 13,403.

All index stocks are in positive zone.

ICICI Bank has surged 4% to Rs 862. Reliance Communications has rallied 3.7% to Rs 449.

NTPC, Reliance Energy, Gujarat Ambuja and HDFC have advanced over 3% each to Rs 144, Rs 531, Rs 138 and Rs 1,545, respectively.

Bharti Airtel, ONGC, Satyam and Grasim are up over 2% each.

Out of 2,277 stocks traded so far, 1,850 have advanced up, 377 have declined and 50 are unchanged.
