Sensex tanks 105pts

The Sensex has slipped deeper into red and is now down 106 points at 11,965.

The Sensex has slipped into the negative zone and is now down 30 points at 12,041.

Reliance Communications has surged 3% to Rs 337. Satyam has advanced 2.5% to Rs 843.

TCS has rallied nearly 2% to Rs 1,015. Hindalco and Dr.Reddy's are up 1% each at Rs 170 and Rs 762, respectively.

Tata Motors has slipped 2% to Rs 842. Reliance Energy and Cipla have shed 1.5% each to Rs 461 and Rs 257, respectively.

Grasim, Gujarat Ambuja, HDFC and Maruti are down over 1% each to Rs 2,465, Rs 115, Rs 1,351 and Rs 931, respectively.

The market breadth has turned negative - out of 2,575 stocks traded so far, 1,346 have declined, 1,130 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
