Sensex touches a new high of 10,855, now up 78pts

The Sensex zoomed past the 10,800-level to a new all-time intra-day high of 10,855. The index is now up 78 points at 10,843.

Bharti Tele has spurted nearly 2% to Rs 392.

Reliance Energy, Hindalco, Tata Steel, Ranbaxy, TCS, Wipro, Gujarat Ambuja, Maruti and ACC have gained over 1% each.
