Sensex up 1,031pts; breadth neutral

The Sensex is now up 1,031 points at 17,761.

The NSE Nifty is up 251 points at 5,250.

Reliance Energy has zoomed 11.7% to Rs 1,917. NTPC and Satyam have soared 10.5% each to Rs 217 and Rs 392, respectively.

TCS has soared over 9% to Rs 872. HDFC Bank and Reliance Communications have surged around 8.5% each to Rs 1,564 and Rs 623, respectively.

Bajaj Auto, Hindalco and DLF have rallied around 8% each to Rs 2,230, Rs 162 and Rs 936, respectively.

BHEL has gained 7.5% at Rs 2,134. Reliance has moved up 6.6% to Rs 2,514.

Hindustan Unilever, ONGC, HDFC and Mahindra & Mahindra are up around 6% each at Rs 198, Rs 1,019, Rs 2,625 and Rs 647, respectively.

Out of 2,639 stocks traded, 1,324 have declined, 1,287 have advanced and 28 are unchanged.
