The Sensex has bounced from a low of 7,341, and is now up 10 points at 7,353 following selective buying support. The Nifty is largely unchanged from its earlier levels at 2,245 - up three points. Reliance Industries and ONGC are up a per cent each at Rs 683 (up Rs 4) and Rs 925 (up Rs 5), respectively. HDFC has added 1.78% (Rs 16) to Rs 895, and Hindalco has added 1.47% (Rs 18) to Rs 1,269. Infosys has slipped by a per cent (Rs 18) to Rs 2,215. TCS and Wipro, too, are trading with losses at Rs 1,301 and Rs 711, respectively. Satyam, however, has moved up 1.13% (Rs 6) to Rs 510. Auto, cement and pharma pivotals are displayed a mixed trend since early trades. Pharma majors have exhibited strength in a steady market. Gufic Bioscience has vaulted 19.90% (Rs 6) to Rs 35. While Neuland Lab has surged 4.79% (Rs 7) to Rs 163, Astrazen Pharma has gained 4.60% (Rs 83) to Rs 1,898. Natco Pharma, Merck, Wockhardt, Abbott, Sterlite Biotech and Glenmark Pharma are up in a range of 2-4%. |
