The Sensex is now trading 100 points higher at 9748.
The Nifty is now trading at 2988, up 29 points. Sterlite is now up 3.7% to Rs 270. Satyam has advanced 2.9% to Rs 175. Hindalco and Tata Steel have gained 2.9% each to Rs 53.15 and Rs 223 respectively. ICICI Bank and Jaiprakash Associates have gained 2.6% and 2.3% respectively to Rs 460 and Rs 85.
Ranbaxy has lost 1.5% to Rs 248.55, Maruti has fallen 0.6% to Rs 517 and Bharti Airtel is down 0.3% to Rs 715. Mahindra & Mahindra has also lost 0.1% to Rs 274.50.
