The Sensex has opened 75 points higher at 15,763 owing to strong global cues. The index has rallied to a high of 15,817 boosted by buying in IT stocks. The index is now at 15,775, up 86 points.
The NSE Nifty is at 4,682, up 23 points.
Infosys has soared 4% to Rs 2,181. TCS has advanced 2.5% to Rs 541.
DLF has added 2% to Rs 403. Wipro and Jaiprakash Associates have added over 1.5% each to Rs 555 and Rs 224, respectively.
HDFC Bank and ITC have slipped over 1% each to Rs 1,467 and Rs 238, respectively.
