Sensex up 100pts; HDFC advances 4%

The Sensex is now up 100 points at 12,460.

Reliance has gained 4.7% at Rs 1,152. ONGC is up 1.2% at Rs 1,382.

HDFC has rallied 3.7% to Rs 1,333. Hero Honda has advanced 2% to Rs 875.

Gujarat Ambuja has moved up 1.6% to Rs 120, and ACC has spurted over 1% to Rs 1,001.

NTPC has dropped 1.5% to Rs 130. Ranbaxy and Cipla are down nearly 1% each.

Out of 2,616 stocks traded so far, 1,683 have advanced, 882 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
