Sensex up 100pts; Wipro surges 3%

The Sensex is now up 100 points at 13,717.

Reliance Energy has surged 3.5% to Rs 552. Wipro has rallied nearly 3% to Rs 585.

Larsen & Toubro, Bharti Airtel and Satyam have advanced over 2% each to Rs 1,376, Rs 636 and Rs 464, respectively.

ONGC and Reliance Communications have gained 1.8% each at Rs 861 and Rs 423, respectively.

ICICI Bank has moved up 1.5% to Rs 884. Gujarat Ambuja and SBI are up over 1% each.

The market breadth is positive - out of 2,368 stocks traded so far, 1,391 have advanced, 900 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
