Sensex up 101pts; ITC soars 4%

The Sensex is now up 101 points at 13,081.

ITC has surged nearly 4% to Rs 152. NTPC has soared 3% to Rs 150, and Tata Motors has rallied 2% to Rs 729.

Dr.Reddy's, Gujarat Ambuja and HDFC Bank have advanced 1.7% each to Rs 718, Rs 106 and Rs 948, respectively. Hero Honda has added 1.5% to Rs 690.

Maruti, Hindalco and SBI are up over 1% each to Rs 822, Rs 130 and Rs 998, respectively.

HLL is down over 1% at Rs 202.

Out of 2,295 stocks traded so far, 1,533 have advanced, 688 have declined and 74 are unchanged.
