Sensex up 104pts; ACC, Hindalco shine

The Sensex is now up 104 points at 13,711.

NTPC has soared over 3% to Rs 162. ACC, Hindalco and Ranbaxy have surged 2% each to Rs 823, Rs 146 and Rs 344, respectively.

Reliance Energy and ICICI Bank have advanced nearly 2% each to Rs 516 and Rs 906, respectively.

BHEL and Bharti Airtel have moved up 1.7% each to Rs 2,585 and Rs 813, respectively.

Tata Steel has shed 4% to Rs 507.

Out of 2,383 stocks traded so far, 1,453 have advanced, 860 have declined and 70 are unchanged.
